Scott Gillespie, Commercialization Partne

Scott Gillespie is a leader in developing practical solutions for early-stage enterprises looking to move innovations into markets.

He leads the Jigsaw Group, a business accelerator which connects startup founders, staff, markets, customers, and channels with resources and opportunities.  One of Jigsaw Group’s programs is ExpatriateConnect, an export mentoring and training program that assists export motivated companies in Australia.  ExpatriateConnect has involved over 2,000 mentors who have assisted over 400 companies.

Scott has assisted a university research office with business development, strategy, and programs; co-founded Sydney Angels and assisted Australia's national angel network; developed and delivered undergraduate and graduate Engineering and Business courses; and helped numerous companies with business development and strategy.

He was the Executive General Manager for Business Development of MFP Development Corporation. His team coordinated over $25 million of investments from major firms such as SGI, Telstra, Microsoft, Motorola, and Stanford University while leading development of two technology parks (over 2,000 staff), establishing a regional incubator network, and hosting a global conference on education.

Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the South Pacific at Unisys Corporation, a global technology services organization that evolved from the technology heritage of Burroughs, Sperry and Univac.
